OUR APPROACH

Garden Rooms by Drumbeat offer a personalised service, whether you chose one of our pre-designed rooms or work with us to create something more bespoke. Our aim is to provide you with a garden room that is completely suitable for your needs, within budget and constructed with top quality materials that will look great and last for years. We offer everyone a free consultation and digital design drawings of your garden room before going any further.

Step 1: Let us know you’re looking

You can fill out our enquiry form or email or call us directly. We will then contact you at a suitable time to discuss your basic requirements and ask some initial questions.

Step 2: Site survey

Normally we like to visit your property for a site survey before we make any proposals.

Step 3: Design

Using our design software, we will show you a 3D proposal of your garden room. At this stage, all of the build features and additional features  will be discussed in detail so that your room is completely stylised and personalised to your needs.

Step 4: Build

We will talk about costs and timescales, including a proposed start date on the build of your garden room.

STRUCTURAL WARRANTY

This warranty covers the following:

  1. Design and manufacturing faults that lead to a failure in the structure of the building. This covers any fault that leads to the failure of the base frame, the floor, the walls, and the roof.
  2. Faults in the installation of the exterior cladding that lead to the cladding becoming detached from the main structure.
  3. Faults in the design and installation of the roof that lead to collapse or water ingress.


This structural guarantee does not cover:

  1. Deterioration of building materials: the fading of colour, warping, splitting, cracking or other deterioration of building materials that are beyond our control. We do not cover the labour costs for replacement of faulty materials which may be subject to a claim directly to the manufacturer.
  2. Ground subsidence: Garden Rooms by Drumbeat will not be liable for any ground subsidence affecting the garden room unless that subsidence is caused by the negligent installation of any groundworks initially installed by us.
  3. The adjustment of any doors or windows: this is not covered by this guarantee. Slight adjustments are often necessary in any building and are caused by slight settlement and movement or by temperature changes.
  4. External UPVC fascia’s, soffits and trim: these are subject to temperature expansion, and a slight warping or distortion during hot weather is not covered by this guarantee.
  5. Plaster and plasterboard finishes: These are prone to small cracks within 2 years of installation. NHBC guidelines relating to plaster finishes are as follows: “some cracking (up to 2mm wide) is likely due to shrinkage and differential movement of materials”. Settlement cracks should be filled and sanded by the customer and are not covered under guarantee.
  6. Adequate ventilation around the building: it is necessary to maintain airflow around the building for ventilation. All plants and debris should not prevent the flow of air. In addition, plants and weeds should not be allowed to attach themselves to the building as this may lead to water or plant intrusion which may affect the structure of the building. Any structural fault arising from these conditions is not covered under the guarantee.

Other guarantees are offered by the individual manufacturers of various products.

Rubber roof guarantee 20 years. Separate guarantee available.

The liability of Garden Rooms by Drumbeat shall not exceed the original purchase price.
